Push UpsAim for phsyical activity for at least 30 minutes each day, most days of the week. Include stretching exercises, which will improve your ability to move your joints and muscles through a full range of motion.

Weight lifting or push-ups build muscle, which will improve your endurance.

Start out with small changes. You can increase the intensity of exercise after several weeks. Try to make exercising a part of your routine.

Walking is one of the best activities for exercise...get more steps in by parking far away from buildings and taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

 

PedometerA pedometer is a good way to motivate you to get more steps in during the day. If you don't have time for one 30-minute walk, break it up into three 10-minute walks.

Find a partner to do activities with-- this can make exercising more enjoyable. Setting small, realistic goals can help you improve your fitness.
